This is the second generation of the “Ugly” series. As boards begin to go short in 1967, Con wisely adapted to the shortening lengths and came out with the “Super Ugly”. Still with the 20” nose and parallel rails, and ultra kicked tail, the new version was more maneuverable, but retained it’s nose riding characteristics. This board is all original and other than some minor tanning, is in incredible condition. Fitted with the wedge two-tone high density foam stringer, with 1/8” redwood side stringer. Wonder Bolt removable Greenough Stage III fin. As board number 5943, it was late in the run and is probably one of the finest examples of a “Super Ugly”, that we have seen!
