Description

MINT!   MINT!   MINT!    FROM THE MARK FRAGALE COLLECTION!   HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT!

This board has three logos, high density yellow foam center stringer sandwiched by two redwood stringers.  It also has three black vertical pin stripes on the left side of the board only, with a high-density yellow foam tail block matching the center stringer. This board also has a glassed on black fin that compliments the black pin stripes on the deck.   Well done Mr. Hawkins.

"Hawk Surfboards were hand built & custom made beginning in the early 1960’s & reached into the mid decade. Annual production was in the range of less than 100/200 units annually.  The company was short lived.  Based out of Long Island, NY, Bob Hawkins sold Velzy Surfboards out of his house before starting his own concern. Many of his boards initially went to lifeguards at a time when East Coast Surfing was still in its infancy.   In decades to follow, Bob Hawkins shaped Longboards at Micri's, Surf Jet and later Bunger Surfboards."   Quoted from Mark Fragale.
