Description:    HOLY GRAIL ALERT!   HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT!   SMITHSONIAN QUALITY!

ONE OF THE CLEANEST GREG NOLL FIGURE “8’s” ON THE PLANET EARTH!

When the phone call came in from Mark Fragale about his friend’s board, arrangements were made, and we left within days to go pick it up.  We took photos how we found it hanging from the rafters, when we placed it down on the ground and how well it cleaned up with some wax remover.  Here’s what we found.  An original most sought-after collectible.

An absolute stunner.  Purely Iconic.  A mint Greg Noll redwood inlay figure 8 surfboard with a center balsa redwood “T” band stringer with matching tail block.   The clear reveal foam is bright white on both sides and makes the organic mocha rail wrap and vertical stripes absolutely striking.  It has a fat man logo on the center of the deck with a matching logo on the chop stick fin.  In Greg Noll’s book on pg 166 in “The Art of the Surfboard” this logo was only used between 1960 – 1966.  These redwood fig 8 surfboards were just not stock boards, they were special order due to its meticulous and complexity stringer work and so rare to find one in this day and age in this pristine condition.  So bid with pride, bid with confidence, but don’t let this one get away because there might not be another one available.  Good luck to all bidders and as Mark Fragale would say, “Many waves of Aloha”!
