Gary Propper: Wildly talented – Hotdog ambassador – Forward thinker

Here is one of the cleanest Hobie Gary Propper Models we have ever seen.  A perfect example of a ‘66 Nose riding machine and is very hard to come by.  The screw-in exclusive removable fin is very pronounced and looks great.  The deck is clear with a center redwood stringer sandwiched by red high-density foam stringers and balsa stringers.  The serial number, 29666 is very clear on the balsa stringer.  The red outline on the nose compliments the overall appearance and the Gary proper logo, as well as the Hobie logo are well preserved.  This board is picture perfect to the advertisement for the Gary Propper models, see attached advertisement.  Gary explained in ‘66 how “the tip of the nose is lifted and flattened for excellent nose riding and easy nose turning.  The rails are slightly dropped for added lift and maximum edge control.  The hips are narrower so the board can be ridden in large or smaller waves and will not spin out in critical nose rides.” This Gary Propper nose-rider was a great riding board in the 60s and is equally as good as any nose-rider being produced today.   This board is up at NO RESERVE and ready to go to a new home.  Hang it, ride it, or both.   But don’t let this classic get away…
