Hawaiian Icon Reno Abellira might have been one of Hawaii’s greatest surfers ever, who won on arguably the biggest contest day ever surfed at Waimea in the 70’s, but his skill set went way beyond a champion surfer.  Reno learned how to shape boards by one of the greatest shapers of all time, Dick Brewer. This Waimea Gun Lightning Bolt is a perfect example of his craft.  The deck is yellow with black pin lines matching the lightning bolt.  Down by the Wing Tipped Swallow Tail is signed RENO – Hawaii 1976 booked cased by lightning bolts.  The rails and bottom are light purple with a single glass on two tone sunshine fin to match the deck.

These boards are extremely hard to come by and is the only “Reno” in the auction…. This board carry’s so much Hawaiian history and lineage it was tough for this high end “BOLT COLLECTOR” to give it up.  This board is up at NO RESERVE!!!   Good luck to all bidders
