As Buzzy Trent once said, “You don’t take a BB gun to hunt elephants!”  This is the one!  A full on “Elephant Gun”, a Buzzy Trent Model 1964 Pipeliner surfboard shaped by Dick Brewer.  

Buzzy Trent and Dick Brewer got together and planned on making 50 Limited Editions, but only 10 were made due to Buzzy’s untimely passing in 2006.  When they first made this board together in1964, only 20 were built.  In the book the "The Ultimate Guide to Vintage Surfboards and Collectibles", on page 263 Quotes "Of the original 20 made only a few are known to exist.  A small number of replicas were made, and even those don't come cheap"  An original is quoted for $35,000 - $40,000.  This board is very rare in that it has Buzzy’s signature on the Surfboard Hawaii logo.  This full-on Rhino chaser has a 1.5-inch-thick redwood center stringer and offset ¼ inch redwood stringers with a matching tail block.   On the stringer it says 4/50 RB., shaped by Dick Brewer.   At the tail has the initials JR, meaning it was glassed by Jack Reeves on the North Shore.  The bottom of the board is equally spectacular with a beautiful redwood halo gun fin.  On the stringer says, “Shaped by Dick Brewer Buzzy Trent Model 1964” This is a very special board with only 10 in the world made by two great surfing pioneers of all time.  This is the board you step up for.  Bid with confidence, bid with pride, but don’t let this one get away… Good luck to all bidders…
